For Assistant Environmental Engineer: A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology/Civil Engineering/Environmental Engineering from a University established by law in India or a qualification recognized by the Government as equivalent thereto. (Any equivalent qualification shall include a qualified Associate Member of the Institute of Engineers India (AMIE) in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering branch.)
For Assistant Scientific Officer: A Doctorate in Chemistry/Zoology/Botany/Biochemistry from a University established by law in India or a qualification recognized by the Government as equivalent thereto with three years of experience in the field of Environment/Pollution Control/Public Health, OR A Master's Degree in Chemistry/Zoology/Botany/Biochemistry from a University established by law in India or a qualification recognized by the Government as equivalent thereto with five year of experience in the field of Environment/Pollution Control/Public Health.
