Comprehensive Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following requirements to be eligible for the NCC Special Entry:

  • Nationality: Must be a Citizen of India, Subject of Nepal, or a Person of Indian Origin (PIO) migrated from specified countries with the intention of permanent settlement.
  • Marital Status: Only Unmarried Male candidates are eligible.
  • NCC Requirement: Must possess an NCC 'C' Certificate with a minimum of 'B' Grade (Not required for Wards of Battle Casualties).
  • Service in NCC: Minimum 2/3 years of service in the Senior Division/Wing of NCC.

Educational Qualifications

Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with aggregate of minimum 50% marks taking into account marks of all the years.

Final year students are eligible provided they pass the examination by 1st October 2026.

Multi-Stage Selection Process

The selection is based on merit and psychological evaluation:

  1. Shortlisting: Based on Bonus Marks (Max 100) calculated from NCC 'C' Certificate grade and Graduation percentage.
  2. SSB Interview: A 5-day evaluation process at Selection Centres (Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar).
  3. Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by SSB undergo a thorough medical checkup.
  4. Merit List: Final selection based on SSB marks, age (if marks are tied), and educational percentage.

Salary & Allowances

Pay Scale and Allowances

Upon commissioning, officers are placed in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix. The CTC is approximately ₹ 17-18 Lakhs per annum.

  • Military Service Pay (MSP): ₹ 15,500/- p.m. (fixed) from Lieutenant to Brigadier.
  • Stipend during Training: ₹ 56,100/- p.m.
  • Dress Allowance: ₹ 20,000/- per year.
  • Siachen Allowance: ₹ 42,500/- p.m. (if applicable).
  • Transport Allowance: ₹ 7,200 + DA (Higher TPTA Cities) or ₹ 3,600 + DA (Other places).
