Educational and General Eligibility
Candidates must fulfill the following criteria as of the last date of application:
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.
- MP Domicile: Required for reservation benefits and age relaxation. Non-MP residents can apply under the Unreserved (Open) category.
- ASI (Computer): Graduate or Post-Graduate in Computer/IT from a UGC-recognized university OR a 3-year Diploma in Computer/IT from a recognized Polytechnic/RGPV.
- Head Constable (Computer): 10+2 (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) AND a 1-year Computer Diploma OR 3-year Diploma in Computer/IT OR Higher Education (B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc/BCA in Computer/IT).

The fee consists of the Exam Fee and the Departmental Fee. Portal charges are extra.
- Unreserved: ₹500 (Exam) + ₹200 (Dept) = ₹700
- SC/ST/OBC/EWS (MP Domicile): ₹250 (Exam) + ₹100 (Dept) = ₹350
- Portal Fee: ₹60 (Kiosk) or ₹20 (Citizen Login)
- Correction Fee: ₹20 per session + ₹40 Portal Fee.

Multi-Stage Selection Process
The selection involves two primary phases:
- Phase 1: Online Written Examination (Paper 1: General Knowledge & Reasoning; Paper 2: Technical Subject).

Pay Scale and Stipend
As per MP Finance Department rules, newly recruited employees will receive a stipend during the 3-year probation period:
- 1st Year: 70% of Minimum Pay Scale
- 2nd Year: 80% of Minimum Pay Scale
- 3rd Year: 90% of Minimum Pay Scale
Full salary and allowances will be applicable after successful completion of probation.
