Educational & Technical Requirements
Applicants must fulfill the following criteria as of February 18, 2026:
- Academic: Passed Matriculation (10th class) with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board.
- Technical: Must possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade affiliated with NCVT/SCVT.
- Note: Engineering graduates and Diploma holders are not eligible to apply under this specific notification.

Selection Process
Selection Process
Merit-Based Selection
Selection will be conducted without any written examination or viva. The process involves:
- Merit List: Calculated based on the average percentage of marks in both Matriculation (10th) and ITI, with equal weightage (50% each).
- Tie-Breaking: Older candidates are preferred. If DOB is same, the candidate who passed Matriculation earlier is preferred.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce original certificates and a Medical Fitness Certificate.

Stipend and Benefits
Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend as per the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992 and directives issued by the Railway Board. No hostel accommodation or travel allowance will be provided during the training period.
